The Department of Psychiatry at St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City is pleased to announce a new ACGME accredited fellowship program in Psychosomatic Medicine. We are accepting applications for 2 fellowship positions to start in July 2007.

St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center is a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, College of Physicians & Surgeons and we are located in two sites on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Our facility comprises 660 beds and takes in the widest possible variety of patients from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. We offer a thorough training in all major areas of Psychosomatic Medicine, and there are formal liaisons set up with a variety of programs including Ob/Gyn, Renal Transplant, Critical Care, HIV/AIDS and Bariatrics. A formal infrastructure is in place to provide research experience, and many of these are co-coordinated with St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center’s renowned Addiction Institute of New York.

The didactic curriculum is structured to meet the needs of fellows seeking a firm foundation in the essentials of Psychosomatic Medicine, and our training is geared to assure mastery of all the ACGME defined core competencies. We offer a particular emphasis on training and research in systems-based knowledge and management issues.

Our salary and benefits package is competitive, and housing is available in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, near our Roosevelt Hospital site.
